Are the current lending standards too unreasonable?
I have been reading many articles over the last few months screaming about how restrictive lending guidelines are. That laws and regulations passed on Capitol Hill are overbreadth or make no sense. The scream from NAR is that legislators are killing the market and we need to go back to another day. NAR’s president said “What we need to do is simply return to the sound standards that were in place before the introduction of risky mortgage products.”
